Meet Laura & Brian- owners of Twin Oaks Lavender Farm

Our story -Twin Oaks Lavender Farm

Who We Are: Twin Oaks Lavender Farm

Nestled in the rolling landscapes of Central Ohio, Twin Oaks Lavender Farm is more than a field of purple blooms. It is the expression of who we are—growers, caretakers, and stewards of a piece of land that has shaped our lives since childhood. Our identity is rooted in the soil beneath our feet, the seasons that guide our work, and the community that surrounds us.

Rooted in Place and in Story

We are Brian and Laura, the proud owners of Twin Oaks Lavender Farm, and we’d like to share a bit about our journey.

Both of us grew up right here in the same local area. We attended the same schools, the same churches, and our families often gathered together for fun. We knew each other as kids long before life took us in different directions. In 2018, after our own children had grown and begun their own journeys, we reconnected.

In 2020, after the passing of Brian’s parents, he and his brothers divided their parents’ 56 acre farm. Brian and I purchased 10.6 acres of this cherished land, and in 2022, we built our home here—returning to a place that had connected with us years earlier.

How Lavender Found Us

Once settled, we began searching for a meaningful way to use our acreage—something more purposeful than simply housing a few zany barn animals. We researched small scale crops suited for limited land, and Laura dove into the world of lavender. Its versatility, beauty, and calming presence captivated us instantly.

In late spring of 2022, we planted our very first lavender crop. What began as curiosity quickly became a calling.

By 2024, our half acre field had expanded to around 700 plants. We now cultivate a variety of English Lavenders, including Hidcote and Munstead, along with high-oil-producing varieties such as Grosso, Phenomenal, and Sensational. Every plant is tended, weeded, and harvested by hand. We use no chemicals, honoring our commitment to sustainable, responsible farming.

Lavender has a way of slowing life down. It invites people to breathe, to reconnect, to find calm. Growing it has done the same for us.

Crafting With Purpose

From our fields, we create a range of small batch lavender products, each infused with the fragrance of our homegrown blooms. Our offerings include:

• Lavender hydrosols

• Magnesium blends

• Culinary spices

• Whole leaf teas

We grow, provide, and sell the finest culinary and oil producing lavender so you can create with confidence. Every product reflects our belief that simple, natural ingredients—grown with care—can bring beauty and well-being into everyday life.

We also host classes and workshops for groups and companies, sharing the creative uses of lavender and the victories and challenges of cultivating this remarkable herb. Education and connection are at the heart of what we do.

A Farm Connected to Community

Our farm is nestled in Central Ohio’s growing zone 6a, just 30 minutes east of Columbus. While lavender isn’t the crop most people expect to find here, that’s part of what makes our work meaningful. We’re proud to bring something unique to the region—something that invites people to gather, learn, and experience a bit of peace.

Whether visitors come to talk over lavender versatility in our fields, pick a fresh bundle, attend a workshop, or simply enjoy the scent carried on a summer breeze, we want them to feel welcome.

Growing More Than Lavender

Ultimately, Twin Oaks Lavender Farm is about more than agriculture. It is about:

• Honoring family land and legacy

• Cultivating beauty and calm

• Practicing stewardship and sustainability

• Creating connection through nature and craft

• Proving that lavender—and dreams—can thrive in Central Ohio

Lavender may not be native to this region, but it has found a home here, just as we have.

The earth laughs in flowers.
